Some pictures of the late war Pacific Composite Ration (6-MEN) Pack. This is the ration that had so much influence over ration pack development in the years following World War 2.

Note the trend toward camouflaged tins and packaging. The first of a long tradition of "Green Foods", which also saw the Introduction of "Cheese, Processed", which soon came to be known as "Cheese-Possessed!" by Tommy--from Burma to Palestine.

Even though the idea of camouflage packaging was brilliant, there seems to have been little standartization of what shades of drab the inner cartons/packages were.
